      Ants are eusocial insects belonging to the family Formicidae, and have been recorded on every continent on earth except Antarctica. Ants thrive so well in most environments that they may form up to 25% of terrestrial animal biomass[1]. Ants have distinctively elbowed antennae, and have slender waists formed by nodular structures.
